Jack Miller may not be getting the expected results, but he remains confident in his abilities. The Red Bull KTM rider has a fifth place as his best result in the first nine main races of the season.
In an interview with the YouTube channel PecinoGP, the Australian emphasized that his performance and speed have been improving, despite the distance to the top:
– I finished the race in Assen nine seconds faster than last year’s winner. Yes, I was still 22 seconds behind Pecco Bagnaia, but that just shows the pace everyone is going at. My speed is my speed, and it has been improving every year. And I believe 100 percent that if I can do a few more things that I would like to do on the bike, then I can be even faster. That’s for sure.
When asked if the bike is currently his main limitation, Miller confirmed: ‘Yes. I mean, I think it’s everyone’s limit. It’s how you tune the bike, it’s how you build the bike, and I believe that as you have seen several times this year, I fell while I was in the group trying to keep up with the riders up there. And it’s not about being slow; it’s about not being comfortable and attacking at the absolute limit all the time. It’s a struggle for us sometimes, but it’s also the person who brought me to this position today‘.
