Jo Shimoda was the highlight of the night in Denver, in the penultimate round of the AMA Supercross 250 West Zone. The Team Honda HRC rider got the holeshot and led every lap.
Shimoda was the fastest in the main event of the night at Empower Field at Mile High and secured an important victory that still allows him to dream mathematically of the category title, even though he has to hope for a bad night from those ahead of him in the standings, as he is in fourth place.
Levi Kitchen finished second and RJ Hampshire third, with this being the front duo in the championship and tied in points.
The first to miss out on the podium was Nate Thrasher, ahead of Jordon Smith.
In the overall standings, there are two riders at the front and tied on points, both with 186 points: Levi Kitchen and RJ Hampshire, although Smith (165) and Shimoda (163) can still compete for the title but it doesn’t depend solely on them.
