Jorge Martín was one of the figures of MotoGP in 2023 and already this year he started by being once again one of the highlights by becoming the first winner of the year in one of his specialties, the Sprint races, however, on Sunday it was another rider who stood out and achieved victory, none other than Francesco Bagnaia. Jorge Lorenzo admits that his compatriot may not have been particularly happy.
Lorenzo has a close relationship with Martín and knows him like few others, and in his opinion, to DAZN, the Pramac Racing rider may not have been particularly excited to see his great rival and 2023 champion win the long race which, it is worth remembering, is worth double the points of the Sprints:
– Jorge Martín could be happier and calmer. The fact that Pecco won the long race probably doesn’t leave him very excited and the fact that he has these vibration problems [chattering, in the rear of the bike] raises some doubts that possibly on a different type of asphalt and track could be resolved. We will see what happens in the next race.
Martín finished third on Sunday in Losail and thus has a total of 28 points, one less than Brad Binder and three less than Bagnaia, who leads the championship.
