Jett Lawrence is a newcomer to AMA Supercross 450, but looking at how he shows up and takes the lead on the tracks, it’s hard to believe. Now in Indianapolis, the rider returned something to Honda that Ken Roczen had already done before, with the German ironically being the one who suffered the most at Lawrence’s hands at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The rider who won all three Triple Crown races in Indy was very pleased with how he performed: ‘It was cool to be the second person to win all three main events and the first since Ken Roczen when he was on a Honda. I loved keeping that tradition alive for the team’.
And he continued his analysis: ‘The track on Saturday night was very tough; it could catch us out at any moment. It was scary to ride alongside someone in the rhythm sections, but it made for some good racing. It was easy to lose and gain time, for sure. I knew the starts would be crucial and I was very pleased with my position in all three races’.
