Miguel Oliveira will have the latest version of the Aprilia RS-GP in the 2024 MotoGP season – going directly from the 2022 version to the 2024 version. For this reason, the Trackhouse Racing man expects to feel many differences and get used to it.
The Almada pilot told the press that he will have to go through an adaptation period, but believes that once he overcomes it, he will be able to fight for top positions:
– It is certain that I am taking a two-year step on the bike. So, surely the feeling has to be different. I definitely have to spend some time adapting to the bike. And that’s it. I hope that maybe in the first two races we will… not fight, but maybe we won’t reach the full potential of the bike because we need time with it. But I believe that as soon as we put the bike in a good position, hopefully we will constantly be fighting for good positions.
That being said, Oliveira mentioned that, even though he is confident, for now, they are all expectations without knowing the possibilities: ‘It’s all shots in the dark: at the moment we just need to start and really see what the possibilities are. But I am confident and I also believe a lot in what Aprilia has done with the new bike‘.
