Miguel Oliveira is back to achieving great results in MotoGP and today he gave further proof of his ability to be among the elite in motorcycle racing. He won the battle with Pecco Bagnaia and finished second.
In the closed park, the Portuguese, from Trackhouse Racing, analyzed his race and explained that it was not easy to compete with riders who usually fight for the wins:
– It’s really good. I’ve been feeling good throughout the whole weekend as I mentioned before. After qualifying, I felt that I had a good chance of finishing on the podium in this Sprint. These guys are super fast and it’s not easy to be in the middle of the races and suddenly be fighting with them. I held on. I felt a lot of pressure from Pecco but I didn’t make any mistakes and brought it home [the podium, with second place], and I hope we can have another great result tomorrow.
Oliveira also achieved the fastest lap during the Sprint, in 1:20.609s.
