Sepang is one of the few circuits in the MotoGP World Championship where Miguel Oliveira arrives with prior knowledge on board the Aprilia – after the pre-season tests held there in February. At the time, the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team rider was about a second off the best time over the three days.
In statements to the press, the Portuguese rider said that his expectations are not very high, but he believes that he has progressed since the February test and hopes to have a better performance:
– I really don’t want to go into the weekend expecting too much. It is certain that I took a good step in terms of riding and also in the way we set up the bike with the electronics compared to the test. So I hope to perform better and be myself again from now on. It wasn’t easy, but I think we will turn things around, hopefully.
