Iñigo Iglesias Bravo made his debut winning at the Supersport 300 World Championship, by imposing himself in the second race in Barcelona. It was a historic race, in which Kove became the first Chinese manufacturer to step onto the championship podium.
The pole position was held by Julio García González (Kove Racing Team), who ended up being one of the protagonists in the fight for top positions throughout an unpredictable and thrilling race. At one point, there were 20 riders in the leading group, and in the end the top 12 were separated by less than a second.
On the final lap, the main duel was between Iglesias and González, with the Fusport-RT Motorsports by SKM-Kawasaki rider emerging as the winner by just 0.064s. González had to settle for second place, which is still historic: it gave Kove the first podium for a Chinese manufacturer in the WSSP300.
