According to Motorsport.com, the Japanese manufacturer has set a busy schedule of private tests, where they can have up to 22 days throughout the season. However, they may lose some of them during the year, as the concessions will be reviewed during the summer break based on the results.
The regulations created for 2024 allow the possibility for the regular riders to participate in private tests, meaning Joan Mir and Luca Marini will be able to ride like test rider Stefan Bradl. The German, who is also expected to compete in Grand Prix races as a wildcard for a maximum of five races, may not be the only test rider – Honda is looking for a second one to share the workload.
