Fabio Quartararo already has a MotoGP world title on his resume, at just 24 years old. He made his debut in FIM CEV Moto3 over a decade ago, where he became a two-time champion before making the leap to the world championships. But how did it all start?
In an interview with Monster Energy, the Frenchman admitted that his love for motorcycling was instilled in him by his father: ‘My father competed in the past. He wasn’t a top-level rider. So basically, he got me into this and I loved it immediately‘.
From there, Quartararo recalled, he embarked on his career up to MotoGP: ‘To develop myself as a professional rider, my father and I decided to compete in the championship in Spain – which was the highest level for riders at such a young age. And step by step, I climbed up to the World Championship. Then, Moto3, Moto2, and reaching the premier class‘.
