Marc Márquez continue to be one of the references in the MotoGP field, despite the fact that in recent years the results have declined – not only due to the injuries he suffered, but also due to the decrease in competitiveness of Honda.
Roland Berger, director of the Technical Commission of FIM, considers that the Spanish rider continues to be unique in terms of riding and motivation. However, in an interview with the website SPEEDWEEK.com, he argued that he will have to have a certain degree of control in his way of riding the current bikes in order to fight for the title:
– He is in a league of his own in terms of riding, but also in terms of motivation: sometimes he simply had a bit too much. If you look closely, from time to time he goes back to the old style that used to be used. […]. Today, the tires don’t like that at all. The question is whether he has enough control over himself not to make mistakes. If he can, I even think he is a candidate for the World Championship. If he can’t, he will only win a few races.
