This weekend marks the end of the MotoE World Championship season – the first with FIM World Championship status. At the San Marino GP in Misano, there are four riders who could be crowned champions.
The leader is Mattia Casadei (HP Pons 40), with 2019 points. The Italian has finished in the top two since the second race in Silverstone, allowing him to enter this final round with a 21-point advantage.
His main pursuer is Jordi Torres (Openbank Aspar), who has not been on the podium since the summer break and is coming off his first retirement of the year. The Spanish rider has Matteo Ferrari (Felo Gresini) just one point behind him.
The last of the title contenders is Héctor Garzó. The rider from Dynavolt Intact GP is in fourth place, with four podiums so far, and a difficult gap to recover: 44 points, with 50 points still up for grabs.
