Álvaro Bautista is in his final year of contract with Aruba.it Ducati in the World Superbike Championship. After two titles, with a third one being totally possible, speculation arises about what the future of the rider might be.
Will there be a renewal, a contract with another team, or the end of his career? The possibilities are on the table at the moment, while nothing is officially announced or signed yet.
But for Danilo Petrucci, there is almost a certainty – Bautista will not retire just yet. The Italian from Barni Spark Racing Team, a Ducati customer team, stated to GPOne.com:
– In my opinion, Álvaro will not leave. He is still fit, he does what he loves and it doesn’t weigh on him. He has also found his own method that makes him feel good, considering he has a supportive family and his entire team. He is still competitive on track today.
