Miguel Oliveira will start the 2024 MotoGP preseason with a current Aprilia bike. The rider remains in the constructor’s satellite team, which is now Trackhouse Racing.
Aprilia Racing’s CEO, Massimo Rivola, confirmed this in an interview with the Mister Helmet podcast: ‘Being in December, it’s a problem to give an official bike to both riders. However, what we will do is give Miguel a 2024 bike – with all the problems that we may have, especially at the beginning‘.
However, Raúl Fernández will have to wait a little longer, according to the Italian: ‘Since we close the containers in mid-January, we won’t be able to have two complete bikes for the Sepang tests. But we plan to have two complete bikes for them in the first race as well‘.
