If there were any doubts about Trackhouse Racing’s ambition and commitment to MotoGP, those were dispelled last week with the announcement of Davide Brivio’s hiring as team manager. He is one of the most experienced in this position in the premier class and also has a stint in motorsport with Alpine between 2021 and 2023.
Jeremy Appleton, consultant for Trackhouse Racing – where Miguel Oliveira and Raúl Fernández compete – said that Brivio’s hiring demonstrates the ambitions and seriousness of the project, as well as everything the Italian will bring:
– I think Justin’s ambitions [Marks, owner] are very big and he is building the foundation for us to move the team forward. So, having Davide is a huge step. I’m not here to say it’s a massive coup, but I certainly believe it shows Trackhouse’s seriousness about how we want to compete, how we want to approach MotoGP. But we are new and therefore we want to be humble, learn the right ways to do it, and Davide will be able to help us do it together with Wilco [Zeelenberg, team manager] and the team in the garage.
