Luca Marini opens a new chapter in his MotoGP career in 2024, being a factory rider for the first time. He joins Repsol Honda with the goal of contributing to the manufacturer’s return to good results.
In an interview with the Por Orejas podcast, the Italian commented: ‘I think I am the right rider for Honda and I also think that, for me, Honda is the ideal team because it is a dream, it’s like playing for Real Madrid or Barcelona; it’s spectacular‘.
That being said, Marini knows that he arrives at a difficult moment for Honda and believes he can help them return to the top soon: ‘It is true that at the moment Honda’s technical package is not the best, but with the experience I have in MotoGP with Ducati and with everything I can give to Honda with my feedback, we will fight to reach the podium again in no time‘.
