Emotion, suspense, unpredictability. That was another MotoGP race, with Jorge Martín coming out on top against the competition in Buriram, in a race ending where any of the three riders could have claimed victory, it was the Spanish rider who completed the full house in the Thai GP.
The main race of the weekend started positively for Martín, who remained in first place, while Bagnaia also moved up to fourth, immediately gaining two positions. The Italian would later, in the first lap, drop back to sixth after some confusion, while Aleix Espargaró made his way through to second, with Brad Binder in third.The first laps were very intense with the riders very close together, and now it was Binder overtaking A. Espargaró and moving into second place, with Marc Márquez also passing Bagnaia and reaching sixth.
With five laps completed, Martín led by 0.210s over Binder, who in turn had Álex Márquez 0.422s behind. Luca Marini was fourth and A. Espargaró fifth.
After six laps, Miguel Oliveira was the first rider to retire from the race, with issues on his Aprilia RS-GP.
Bagnaia was showing some improvements and moved up to fifth place.
