Francesco Bagnaia already knows that in 2025 his teammate at Ducati in MotoGP will be Marc Márquez. With last year’s Desmosedici GP23 at Gresini, the Spaniard has already shown that he is capable of fighting for podiums and has even beaten the Italian in a direct duel.
That is why, in 2025, the expectation is that the eight-time world champion will fight for the title – and possibly in an exciting battle with Bagnaia. Jorge Lorenzo believes that the current championship leader will be the champion this year and the favorite for 2025… but with one caveat, as he told Corse di Moto:
– The favorite is always the reigning champion. Bagnaia will win the World Championship this year, so he will be the favorite, but in 2025 it will not be easy for him to beat Márquez as if the roles were reversed.
The Majorcan is of the opinion that Márquez and Bagnaia will maintain a cordial relationship, despite their strong ambitions for success: ‘There will be a diplomatic relationship between them, but it will not be easy because both have the aspiration to win: in these cases, it is never easy’.
