Miguel Oliveira finished the Sprint race of the Dutch Grand Prix in Assen in 12th place. The Trackhouse Racing man made a strong recovery from the start and spent a good part of the race in the position where he finished.
At the start, the Portuguese driver managed to climb up the rankings, starting from 17th to reach 14th for a few moments… before being overtaken by his teammate, Raúl Fernández, and Marco Bezzecchi (Pertamina Enduro VR46/Ducati).
A crash by Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati) promoted Oliveira to 15th. He would then move up to 13th, swapping places with Bezzecchi and Fernández. On the third lap, he overtook Jack Miller (Red Bull KTM) to reach 12th.
It was in this position that #88 remained for the following laps, although he did not have a significant gap to Bezzecchi behind him. Ahead of him was Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3/KTM).
In the final laps, Oliveira closed in on the Spaniard. However, he ended up losing the position to Bezzecchi on the last lap and only regained 12th place thanks to a late crash by Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia).
