Miguel Oliveira put an end to the rumors that placed him on the Honda route, and today in Buriram clarified that there are no news about his future, at the same time he guaranteed not being in talks with the Japanese manufacturer.
A MotoGP reporter asked Oliveira about the most talked about topic, as far as the rider market is concerned, in recent times: ‘Obviously there is still a lot of talk about your future, is there something you would like to tell us about what has happened in recent weeks’, with the Portuguese being brief in words: ‘No, there’s not much more to say’.
Asked next if he was in discussions with the Japanese manufacturer or if something is happening, he replied: ‘No, we are not, no’.
It should be noted that on more than one occasion Oliveira said that the Honda possibility was real, emphasizing his desire to be in a factory team, something that is unlikely to happen in 2024 with Aprilia, as the manufacturer is expected to continue with Aleix Espargaró and Maverick Viñales, both riders also already mentioned as successors to Marc Márquez.
It is also worth noting that, according to international press, the Portuguese rider would want a three-year contract.
