Miguel Oliveira finished the MotoGP Qatar Grand Prix practice in 19th position. After leading the race, he was unable to keep up with the pace of the front runners in the final phase and will have to go through the first qualifying phase – while his teammate from CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team, Raúl Fernández, set the fastest time.
With his first lap completed, the Almada rider was in 12th place, then entering the top ten with his second attempt. Just over fifteen minutes into the session, when he hadn’t shown a solid pace yet, he was in ninth place and returned to the pits.
Upon returning to the track, just over ten minutes later, he had two soft tires and immediately improved to take the top spot on the timesheets. He didn’t do much on his second visit to the pits. When he returned to the track, Oliveira was already in fifth place. Despite it being a short stay, he didn’t improve and dropped to 13th.
When he started his final sequence of laps, “Falcão” was already in 16th place, continuing to lose positions. When he improved his time, it wasn’t enough to go beyond the 18th position he was in. On his last lap, Oliveira couldn’t improve due to a yellow flag caused by Jack Miller’s (RedBull KTM) crash and finished in 19th place.
