Miguel Oliveira finished the warm-up of the Austrian MotoGP Grand Prix in 14th position. The Trackhouse Racing pilot made constant improvements throughout the six laps he completed this morning at the Red Bull Ring.
In a short session that serves only to fine-tune before the main race, the Portuguese entered the track with a used medium tire at the front and a new medium tire at the back.
With his first lap, Oliveira placed himself in tenth position over eight tenths off the top, being the best Aprilia rider in this phase of the warm-up. The position was reinforced with the second attempt, rising to fifth, although shortly after he dropped to ninth.
Despite continuing to improve his time, “Falcão” stopped keeping up with the pace of the top positions, gradually descending in the standings. By not lowering his mark in the last two laps, Oliveira finished 14th, 0.833s behind the leader, Marc Márquez (Gresini/Ducati).
