Maverick Viñales had his third season with Aprilia Racing in 2023, the second full-time. Although he did not (yet) win, he also secured three podiums again, with one being very special and the highest point of his season, before saying what his goals are for 2024.
In statements to Aprilia, the rider revealed what was his best moment last season, saying: ‘The day I was happiest in 2023 was in Montmeló, where I was on the podium and also with my wife. It was the first time my wife was on the podium’.
Number 12 then briefly spoke about his goals for the next season, with the desire to take Aprilia to the ‘highest’ point possible: ‘My wish for 2024 is to reach my maximum potential and take Aprilia to the highest place we can be’.
Viñales finished the season in 7th place with 204 points, just behind his teammate Aleix Espargaró.
