Marco Bezzecchi arrives at the Malaysian GP fighting for a top three position in the MotoGP World Championship. The title is already out of reach, but in his second season he is about to secure, at the very least, third place overall… with a Ducati from last year in the independent Mooney VR46 Racing Team.
After the triple round in Indonesia, Australia, and Japan, the Italian admitted that it was good to have a week of rest and recovery – he recently fractured a collarbone: ‘Having a full week of recovery after three very busy weeks, just like the previous ones, was a delight. I rested, recovered as much as possible, recharged my batteries, and I am prepared to face the end of this season at my best‘.
Confident that Sepang has characteristics that can favor him, Bezzecchi emphasized that he wants to be one of the protagonists in the final phase of the season: ‘Sepang, along with several other tracks in this final phase of the season, is among my favorites. Very fast with long straights, an aspect that can be favorable to our technical setup. It won’t be easy, but we will do our best to be among the protagonists from here to Valencia‘.
