Marc Márquez could really be close to joining Gresini for the next MotoGP season. The rider may have already decided to leave Repsol Honda and join the team founded by the late Fausto Gresini.
Sky Sport Italia writes that only one detail is missing – finalizing the “divorce” with Honda, which may be complicated considering that there is still one year left on a contract with significant numbers.
Over the past few months, there have been several rumors about Márquez’s future given Honda’s persistent difficulties in finding competitiveness. Along the way, the possibilities of KTM and Pramac were left behind.
The demands of the six-time champion include a one-year contract. If Márquez’s move to Gresini is confirmed, it will be his first experience in a satellite team and outside of Honda – switching to ride a Ducati that does not have the latest specifications.
