Marc Márquez rode for the first time with the Ducati Desmosedici precisely one week ago in the MotoGP tests in Valencia. In his first reaction, the pilot couldn’t help but smile, immediately indicating that he was pleased with the performance of the bike.
With 49 laps completed, Márquez finished the tests with the fourth fastest time but even reached the lead. Regarding feedback, the rider reportedly mentioned six points, as reported by DAZN.
The rear traction was one of the aspects that the rider liked the most, curiously one of the areas where he had the most difficulties with Honda in recent times.
The fact that it is a less physically demanding bike is another aspect that pleased Márquez, who has said on several occasions that although he is physically recovered – after the various surgeries and time off the track that he was forced to take – he still struggles in that aspect.
Another positive aspect is the Italian bike’s ability to corner, with the Spaniard even suggesting that he anticipated more difficulties than he actually had.
If these points were positive, there are three others that may not have received such a positive note.
Firstly, Márquez mentioned adjustments from an ergonomic point of view, with his position on the bike not being the most comfortable.
The rider also wants to see improvements from the perspective of front-end sensations with the bike, as well as some concern about how the bike brakes. Specifically, when braking hard, he felt that the rear of the bike lifts.
Independientemente de estos aspectos, la verdad es que Márquez logró dejar una fuerte impresión al mando de la Desmosedici, y de aquí en adelante solo podrá mejorar y adaptarse mejor.
