Pedro Acosta could become champion as soon as next weekend, when the Grand Prix of Thailand takes place. To celebrate at the Thai circuit, the Spanish rider will need to score 19 more points than Tony Arbolino, the current runner-up. At the moment, Acosta’s advantage is 56 points.
‘I see that I will have to steal 19 points from Arbolino’, the current Moto2 World Championship leader began by saying.
‘We will have to do our job and move forward. And if it’s not in Thailand, then it will be in the next race or another one’, he declared to the newspaper AS.
In the Spanish rider’s opinion, the equation to become world champion will involve a victory in the Thai GP, as long as Arbolino does not finish higher than 11th, or if he finishes second and the Italian does not finish higher than 15th.
