There are two rounds left in the MotoGP season and there is already one certainty: the title fight will be between Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martín, who also already know that they will finish in one of the top two positions.
There are 74 points up for grabs until the end of the season. Marco Bezzecchi (Mooney VR46 Racing Team/Ducati) is currently third with a 75-point gap to second-placed Martín (Prima Pramac/Ducati) – so he can no longer go beyond his current position.
In the title fight, everything is pretty much the same as before the Malaysian GP. Bagnaia (Ducati) has only gained one point on Martín, so he now has a 14-point lead.
Bezzecchi, in third, is also close to securing the final podium, thanks to a 69-point margin over fourth-placed Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM). Johann Zarco (Prima Pramac/Ducati) has regained fifth place, now two points ahead of Aleix Espargaró (Aprilia).
Fabio Quartararo continues to be the best of the Monster Energy Yamaha in ninth, while the best Honda rider is Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda) in 14th. As for Miguel Oliveira (CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team/Aprilia), after a round without scoring points with an abandonment in the main race, the Portuguese rider has been overtaken by Enea Bastianini (Ducati) and is now 16th.
