Jack Miller arrived at Red Bull KTM in MotoGP this season after several years with Ducati. International press reported in recent days that his salary may be increased to have only ten wildcard entries in 2024, so that Pedro Acosta can move up to MotoGP.
In an interview with the website Motosan.es, Miller was asked about the “threats” that Acosta and Marc Márquez may pose to his bike. In his response, #43 admitted that he could lose his spot… but only in 2025: ‘The door is open and I won’t be the one trying to close it. Of course, losing my spot to one of these two riders is a possibility. If I’m not as good as KTM expects me to be, I won’t be here in 2025, that’s the law of sports‘.
Según Miller, el contrato actual incluso contempla la posibilidad de extenderse hasta 2026: ‘Tengo una opción para las temporadas de 2025 y 2026. Depende de que haga un buen trabajo y mantenga mi lugar. Pasé cinco temporadas en Ducati con contratos de un año que tuve que extender cada vez. Estoy acostumbrado a este tipo de situaciones, ya no me molestan’.
