Fermín Aldeguer could be on his way to MotoGP as early as 2025. Rumors of a contract with Ducati emerged earlier this year, which are now gaining strength. The initial destination would be Pramac, just like what happened before with the successful examples of Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martín.
According to the website Motosan.es, which cites sources close to the rider, the contract is for four years – an unusual duration in MotoGP currently. Aldeguer would start at Pramac Racing with a factory Ducati next year, spending the first two seasons with the satellite team before moving up to the factory team for the remaining two years of the contract.
In recent days, the newspaper El Periodico wrote that Aldeguer was at Ducati headquarters last week to sign. For now, there is still no confirmation from the Borgo Panigale manufacturer or the rider. If the signing is confirmed, it would be a continuation of Ducati’s investment in young talents, in a paradigm shift that has already produced results. As for Aldeguer, he may be about to start his last season in Moto2, where he will try to become champion.
