Enea Bastianini was quickly ruled out of the possibility of competing for the MotoGP title last year, when he suffered an injury in the Sprint race of the first round that kept him out for several months. It wasn’t the only physical problem he had, but now that he is recovered, he faces 2024 with the ambition of fighting for the top positions.
The Italian from Ducati made it clear during a press conference: ‘I’m here to try to win some races and fight for the title. But we have to do a great job during testing, because it’s very important to be ready from the first race. But I also don’t want to make some small mistakes like last year, being nervous on some days, because last year was really tough for me‘.
After the adversities of 2023, Bastianini assured that this year’s season will be different: ‘I learned a lot from the 2023 season and 2024 will be different without pressure – because I have a lot of pressure, but I’m here to try to win and it will be interesting and it will be good to see how my approach is in Malaysia‘.
