Sepang is one of the few MotoGP tracks where Miguel Oliveira arrives with prior knowledge aboard the Aprilia – after the pre-season tests that took place there in February. At the time, the CryptoDATA RNF MotoGP Team rider was about one second off the best time over the three days.
In statements to the press, the Portuguese rider said that his expectations are not very high, but he believes that he has made progress since the February test and hopes to have a better performance:
– I don’t really want to go into the weekend expecting too much. It is true that I took a good step in terms of riding and also in how we configure the bike with the electronics compared to the test. So I hope to perform better and be myself again from now on. It wasn’t easy, but I think we will turn things around, hopefully.
