Es with part of the “simplified” work that Brad Binder leaves for the MotoGP tests in Sepang in relation to the work and indications already given by the test team. The rider spoke about the break, and about the parts he will have in the garage.
Before the start of the tests, the rider began by remembering the time without riding: ‘The winter break was really cool. It was really nice to come home, relax a bit and take things easy and disconnect from the season. It’s good to be back in Sepang and I’ve been ready to come back since Christmas, it’s been a long wait. It’s exciting for me to see the long list of parts that the team has waiting for us. Let’s see how we manage this time’.
Regarding the parts he will have at his disposal, many of these seem to be related to the aerodynamic part of the bike, with the South African reacting like this:
– I took a sneak peek and there are certainly many different things. Dani [Pedrosa] and the others have already tested things and what’s good stays and what’s not so good is obviously put aside. For us, it’s nothing crazy. Having them [the test team] makes our list of ten parts, five or whatever, simpler for us. I’m looking forward, first of all, to get back on the bike, start riding and get back into the rhythm and we’ll move forward.
When asked if he was happy to see the KTM bikes performing well in the Shakedown, Binder replied: ‘It’s always good to see. In the past, the tests in Sepang were horrible and seeing this is very good. Just like last year was a little better but very tough and then we came here for the race and I saw how big a step forward we had taken and that’s very good. I’m looking forward to seeing the gains here and getting back the sensations and we’ll start from there’.
