Marc Márquez will race with the factory team colors of Ducati in 2025 and, in Alex Lowes’ opinion, the rider will assert himself, now that one of his goals for this season has been achieved: securing the move to the main team. Now, with that goal accomplished, in 2025 he will ‘blow everyone away’.
The WSBK rider spoke about the former world champion in statements to TNT Sports in Austria last weekend, saying: ‘He spent so much time trying to deflect pressure and expectations. It’s Marc Márquez! Surely he just wants to beat them? That attitude was there at the beginning of the season. I feel like he’s pushing because he’s making mistakes in training sessions’.
Lowes believes that his goal was to reach the factory team, and now that he has achieved it, in the next season – with the same bike and tools as the factory – he will clearly surpass everyone:
– He’s probably thinking that his main goal this year was to get the factory bike. Now he will take care of himself, show up next year, and blow everyone away!
And if that happens, it won’t be anything “so” unprecedented, he believes, given #93’s personality: ‘We wouldn’t be surprised. He is that kind of character and talent’.
