The set of 18 riders who will participate in the second qualifying session of the French Moto2 Grand Prix is complete. Zonta van den Goorbergh will be one of them, as he led Q1 in Le Mans.
Competing injured, Arón Canet (Fantic Racing/Kalex) did not give up on trying to secure a place in the pole position discussion and was consistently among the four fastest. He even led the classification with his second flying lap.
However, he was later beaten by van den Goorbergh (RW-Idrofoglia Racing GP/Kalex), who was only 0.024s faster. Senna Agius (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP/Kalex) set the third fastest time, ahead of Izan Guevara.
The Spaniard from CFMoto Inde Aspar secured qualification on his second flying lap, finishing fourth with just 25 thousandths of a second ahead of Darryn Binder (Liqui Moly Husqvarna Intact GP/Kalex).
