Zero Motorcycles is considered one of the innovative companies in the electric motorcycle industry. Having first opened its doors in 2006, Zero probably wasn’t expecting to become the giant of electric motorcycles that it is today. With headquarters around the world, the innovative electric motorcycle company based in California shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, it is promoting peace of mind among potential buyers by offering a five-year warranty with no mileage limit.
As reported by our friends at The PACK, all Zero motorcycles sold in Europe from the year 2024 will have a five-year warranty, “regardless of the number of kilometers traveled.” Needless to say, this is a great warranty from the electric motorcycle company, especially at a time when electric vehicles – specifically two-wheelers – are becoming increasingly popular.
Before launching the five-year warranty for its motorcycles, Zero already had a quite impressive warranty for its products. In fact, its ZForce ZF battery, the battery pack used to power its electric motorcycles, had an impressive five-year warranty. Other components such as the motor, regulator, frame, suspension, and wheels had a limited warranty of two years per kilometer. This time, however, all components of the motorcycles will have a uniform five-year warranty. Now, Zero Motorcycles understands that not everyone keeps their motorcycles for a period of five years, so the warranty is transferable to a new owner if the motorcycle is sold within a five-year period. Specifically for the European market, the subsidiary of the Zurich Insurance Group, Real Garant Zurich, is the company behind the new five-year warranty program. Through its partnership with Zero Motorcycles, it is able to offer such a comprehensive warranty at no additional cost to end users. Even better, some 2023 models sold through Zero’s authorized dealer network may also be eligible for the program.
