The Yamaha WR250F has been revamped for 2025, positioning itself as a top contender among 250cc enduro motorcycles. Its foundation is based on the YZ250F.
The bike features a new timing chain designed to reduce friction losses and a frame with optimized side beams for improved agility. It also comes equipped with class-leading KYB suspension. The engine is a 250cc single-cylinder paired with a six-speed gearbox, and the ECU is specifically tuned for enduro riding.
Derived from the YZ250F, the WR250F has been tailored for enduro use. The frame now features a fuel tank support tube that is 15mm lower and a rear profile in a U-shape. Additionally, the linkage tension tube has been lowered to reduce the bike’s center of gravity, enhancing stability and agility in corners.
The bodywork includes 50mm narrower side covers, a slimmer fuel tank, and a flatter seat – all aimed at optimizing rider mobility during braking, acceleration, and cornering. The new riding position offers increased space between the hips and feet for better control and comfort.
