The Yamaha TMAX is considered by many as the maxi-scooter that started the revolution. It first appeared on the scene at the turn of the millennium and dared to change the very essence of the scooter. In its 24 years of existence, the TMAX has evolved with more performance and technology, always maintaining simplicity and comfort at its core.
For 2024, Yamaha introduced the new TMAX 560 in its home country, Japan, and the original version received a series of updates to make it even better.
To start, the Yamaha TMAX is one of the most powerful scooters in terms of performance, as in the 2024 version, it is equipped with a liquid-cooled 562 cc twin-cylinder fuel-injected engine. Although 47 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 55.5 Nm of torque may not seem like much, it is certainly a lot of power for a scooter.
To make the package more enjoyable, Yamaha included a range of technological features, such as traction control, a color TFT screen with Garmin navigation, cruise control, keyless ignition, and even heated seats and grips.

But scooters have always been practical, and the Yamaha TMAX 2024 is no exception. In addition to comfortably enveloping you thanks to the high windshield, relaxed controls, and comfortable seat, you can do it for both yourself and the passenger thanks to its spacious seat. Under said seat, there is a large storage space to keep everyday essentials. And if that’s not enough, there is the option to install transport bags or a top case, a common upgrade for TMAX owners looking to maximize utility.
In true Yamaha fashion, the TMAX 560 is all about sleek and sporty aesthetics. With the style of its more sporty siblings, the scooter has angular fairings, a sleek LED headlight, and fluid lines that give the scooter a sleek yet aggressive stance. It is undoubtedly one of the best-looking scooters, which says a lot, considering scooters are not exactly what you would call “badass.”
Yamaha has not yet announced the price and availability of the new TMAX 560 in Japan, let alone in other markets. We will be keeping an eye out for all the updates.
