Yamaha Motor Europe has confirmed that Remy Gardner and Dominique Aegerter will continue their partnership with the GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK team for the 2025 FIM Superbike World Championship, setting the stage for another exciting year of competition.

Gardner, who transitioned from MotoGP to WorldSBK in 2023, has made significant strides during his time with Yamaha. After narrowly missing the podium at the final round in Jerez during his rookie season, the Australian rider clinched his first WorldSBK podium at the TT Circuit Assen in 2024. With a steady improvement in both pace and results, Gardner is looking to build on his growing success as he stays hungry for more podiums and victories in the upcoming season.

“I’m happy to be staying for another year,” Gardner said. “2024 has had its ups and downs, but we’ve made some great progress. My first podium at Assen was a big milestone, and I’m eager to fight at the front more consistently in 2025.”

Aegerter, a two-time World Supersport Champion, also made his move to the Superbike class in 2023 and quickly demonstrated his potential with a strong Superpole pace and a maiden podium finish at Jerez. Despite facing setbacks due to illness and injury throughout the 2024 season, Aegerter remains determined to prove his capabilities at the highest level of the sport.

“This year has been tough, but I’m grateful to Yamaha and the team for their belief in me,” Aegerter remarked. “I feel like I have unfinished business in WorldSBK, and I’m ready to show what we can do in 2025.”

Yamaha’s Road Racing and R&D Manager, Andrea Dosoli, expressed confidence in the pair, stating, “Remy has had a strong season, often finishing as the top R1 rider. We believe he’ll continue to build on his success. Dominique, despite the challenges this year, hasn’t yet shown his full potential, and we’re confident he’ll bounce back next season.”

Filippo Conti, GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team Principal, shared his excitement for the 2025 lineup: “We’ve had a good run with both riders, and we’re looking forward to more great moments together. They’ve proven their speed and talent, and we’re sure they’ll continue to make progress.”

The continuation of Gardner and Aegerter’s partnership finalizes Yamaha Motor Europe’s WorldSBK roster for 2025, with Jonathan Rea and Andrea Locatelli also set to continue with the Pata Prometeon Yamaha WorldSBK Official Team. As both riders look to improve upon their solid foundations, Yamaha is positioning itself for another competitive season in 2025, aiming for podiums and further growth in the championship.
