As it has development concessions, Monster Energy Yamaha has the possibility to test for MotoGP with both test riders and regular riders, with more freedom than some of the other manufacturers.
Team manager Massimo Meregalli spoke to GPOne.com about the plans to test with Álex Rins and Fabio Quartararo. For now, the next planned test is after the Portuguese GP:
– We will stop in Portimão, where we will test on Monday after the GP, and then, when we return from Le Mans, we will go to Mugello, along with the test team, on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday. If we don’t lose the concessions after the summer break, the intention is to go to Misano after the race in Austria, on August 20th and 21st.
