Yamaha is determined to improve and this season, with concessions, is already working to get closer to the main rivals. The Team Director addressed, even before the last private tests in Mugello, the work the manufacturer was about to enter.

After Álex Rins and Fabio Quartararo rode for two days and Cal Crutchlow for one, but there is still more to come, Meregalli added: ‘We have the Monster Energy sponsored Catalunya GP, followed by the Italian GP, our team’s home race. All of these events are important for us, so we will strive in the coming weeks’.
In this week’s tests at the Italian circuit, the fastest was Álex Rins, the only one to lap in the 45s, with Fabio Quartararo coming in second. Cal Crutchlow only tested for one day and there the manufacturer spent part of his time testing a new aerodynamic package.
