As is known, Yamaha stayed in Portimão for a day of private testing this Monday, after the MotoGP Portuguese GP. And the manufacturer shows that it is determined to recover and catch up with its rivals.
An image shared by specialized journalist Simon Patterson shows new solutions on the YZR-M1: a rear section below the seat similar to the one advocated by Aprilia and a version of the famous “stegosaurus wings” originally introduced by Ducati in 2022.
The start of the Monster Energy Yamaha season was not very encouraging, with Fabio Quartararo’s seventh place in Portugal being the only top ten after two rounds – the best Álex Rins did was 13th place also in Portimão.
However, both riders have highlighted the commitment, change of mentality, and diligence of the team in this process of recovering competitiveness.
