The Yamaha PG-1 is based on the same 114cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that powers the Finn, a daily commuter scooter of which it is the more adventurous version. There is the option of alloy or spoked wheels and so far we only know the price of the former, 48,700 baht, which would be approximately €1,264. Reservations have already been opened, although the price list has not yet been published and Yamaha Thai has been a bit stingy in releasing information. We do know, however, that there will be four colors: Chill Blue, Humming Brown, Vivid Yellow, and Cool Black. And we also know that an exclusive bonus is proposed for the first 100 buyers who order it by December 11, 2023. The Wanderlust Camper package includes hand guards, hand covers, a black brake lever, a USB charger, a black front rack kit, a sturdy rear rack kit, a silver exhaust guard, and a black auxiliary frame kit and leg protection. On the other hand, the Naughty Tracker package includes a specific license plate holder, a set of hand guards, a front license plate kit, a raised front fender kit, a side license plate for a retro look, a silver exhaust guard, a silver non-slip plate, and a black subframe kit.
Aside from the specifications of each kit, the names themselves make us fantasize about the extravagant use of this little PG-1. How would you use it? Would it be more of a Wanderlust Camper or a Naughty Tracker? And most importantly, would you like to see it in Portugal?
