In September last year, the Chinese brand X-Wedge introduced itself to the world, announcing five different models to be launched in 2024: two cruisers, two tricycles, and a sidecar cruiser, all based on a V-twin engine.
Styled after the famous American motorcycles from Harley-Davidson, the models are set to hit Chinese dealerships this month, with prices now revealed. According to the Motorrad website, there are no announced plans to enter European or American markets. Except for the Walker WR 1000, all models feature the same engine derived from S&S Cycle, a 2000cc V-twin producing a maximum of 75kW.
X-Wedge Ranger RX 2000 (78,000 yuan – 10,000 euros)
This entry-level model boasts a design clearly inspired by Harley-Davidson, featuring a low seat and an 18-liter fuel tank. It promises a top speed of 195 km/h and comes with Metzeler tires.
X-Wedge Rover RL 2000 (128,000 yuan – 16,000 euros)
Based on the Ranger RX 2000, this model stands out with its front fairing, side saddlebags, and a JBL audio system. It is also heavier, weighing over 400 kg.
X-Wedge Voyager VS 2000 (168,000 yuan – 21,500 euros)
The Voyager VS 2000 includes a third wheel on the sidecar, driven by a differential, and features a brake disc with ABS. It has a reverse gear and weighs nearly 500 kg.
X-Wedge Vanguard VT 2000 (218,000 yuan – 27,900 euros)
Derived from the Rover RL 2000, this tricycle has two rear wheels with a differential installed on the rear axle.
X-Wedge Walker WR 1000 (96,000 yuanv – 12,300 euros)
Unlike the other models, the Walker WR 1000 is a sporty tricycle with two front wheels and one rear wheel. It features a different engine: a 975cc V-twin with a maximum power of 81.5 hp at 7,500 rpm and a CVT with reverse gear. The fuel tank capacity is 23 liters.
X-Wedge has launched a variety of models catering to different tastes and needs, all while embracing the classic American cruiser style, though it remains to be seen if these will be made available outside of China.
