The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is undergoing various renovation works for the 2024 season – in which it will host, among other events, the Catalunya MotoGP Grand Prix and the second round of the Superbike World Championship season.
The regional government has announced an investment of 50 million euros in the period 2022-2026, in order to make the circuit a leading reference. The pits and the control tower will undergo intervention, as well as the grandstands’ roofs.
For now, the works focus on the control tower and the pit building. There will be a VIP walkway connecting the paddock to the interior stands, including a new solar panel-covered roof over the pits.
The WSBK will take place on the weekend of March 22-24, while the Catalunya MotoGP Grand Prix is scheduled for May 24-26.
