Francesco Bagnaia secured another victory in the Italian MotoGP Grand Prix – the third consecutive one after 2022 and 2023. The Ducati rider was the target to beat throughout the weekend at Mugello and once again confirmed his superiority in the main race.
In the interview with the official broadcast, the Italian commented: ‘Incredible. It wasn’t easy to start from fifth, but then I had this strategy of starting from the inside and it worked perfectly. Then, I started to attack‘.
Although he always seemed in control, Bagnaia highlighted that it was a challenging race: ‘It wasn’t easy, because it was difficult to manage the rear tire well because I was pushing a lot on the front‘.
Regarding the specific victory, the champion of 2022 and 2023 stated: ‘Finally winning today after a weekend like this is fantastic. I love them all [the fans], it’s incredible, and I’m also happy for Enea who did a very good job. “Grazie Italia, grazie Mugello, fantastico!” [Thank you Italy, thank you Mugello, fantastic!”]’.
