At 27 years old, Jake Dixon had his best season in the world championships to date in 2023. The British rider, who races with the colors of GASGAS Aspar Team, finished the season in fourth place and won his first Moto2 race.
This was Dixon’s fifth full season in the intermediate class (he started in Moto2 in 2019), although his debut happened two years earlier, and the truth is that the results are gradually improving.
In 18 races, #96 achieved two victories, with the round in Assen being memorable, marking his first win, a result he would repeat later in Catalunya.
Dixon, who curiously already had the opportunity to debut in MotoGP with Yamaha in 2021 with the then Petronas SRT, still has to make a real bid for the Moto2 title, where there are many talented and promising young riders, and where teams from the premier category often seek reinforcements.
After two wins, eleven podiums, and four pole positions in 2023, the question remains: how far can Dixon go? Will 2024 be the year of glory long sought after by the British rider?
It is also worth mentioning that the rider has had a relatively upward trend from year to year in the category: 25th, 18th, 20th, 6th, and now 4th.
