Fabio Quartararo showed competitive in the Indonesian MotoGP, reaching the podium in third place. Although he did not do better than he had already done in 2023, the Monster Energy Yamaha rider ranks it as the best podium of the year.
In a press conference, the Frenchman mentioned that being close to the top two with pure performance is what makes this podium particularly significant:
– For me, this is the best podium of the year, because especially in India I finished eight or nine seconds behind [Marco] Bezzecchi, in Austin I made the podium, but I was a little too far from the winners. And here I can say that I really caught up to the top two, I caught them even and I did it because of my speed, not due to race incidents. This is, by far, the best podium of the year.
