Ten years have passed since Amazon decided to open a category of Cars and Motorcycles dedicated to car enthusiasts on its websites in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, and the United Kingdom. However, it had not yet appeared “physically” at the main international fair in our sector, EICMA. It will be at the next edition, which will take place from November 7 to 12 at Fiera Milano Rho.
For the first time, the e-commerce giant appears directly in our sector and does so with a stand that we will find in Hall 9/11 (M59). Here we will find exhibition areas, but above all a selection of products, accessories, and components from major brands dedicated to the world of two wheels such as Dainese, Bosch Automotive, CTEK, GP-PRO, MXT (Maxtuned), Cardo, Artago, Shima, DC Afam, and many others.
And it doesn’t stop there: there will be a store dedicated to the event at amazon.it/eicma. The showcase will include all the products that will be presented at the stand, as well as many others, and will also be available on Amazon.es, Amazon.fr, Amazon.de, and Amazon.co.uk.
In addition to the online showcase dedicated to the fair, the Cars and Motorcycles category on Amazon.co.uk offers thousands of specific products and services. These include, for example, My Garage, where customers can find spare parts and accessories suitable for their vehicle, and the Amazon Installation Service, which allows customers to select and add the desired installation service directly from the product page and then use it in the store on the date and time of their preference. But that’s not all: customers can also access specific sections full of products and equipment for the seasonal preparation and maintenance of their vehicles.
Amazon’s entry into a trade fair seems to underline the importance that these real encounters continue to have, despite the frequent talk of making everything virtual. Obviously, customers are customers and, currently, there is no longer any distinction between online and offline.
