The Chinese motorcycle manufacturer Kove entered the global market in 2022 and, in the year it has been in the spotlight, has been working intensively to launch new models. Currently, Kove operates predominantly in the Chinese and European markets and shows no signs of slowing down.

It seems to be following the formula of many other Chinese brands that have achieved remarkable success in Europe, offering a healthy variety of models for a diverse range of motorcyclists. We have previously talked about the replica of the 450 Rally, as well as the adventure bike 510X, not to mention the sporty and naked models 400RR and Cobra 321. With almost all bases covered, Kove has decided to offer a more “lifestyle-oriented” machine in the form of the 510F Scrambler, because who doesn’t like a retro-inspired and robust two-wheeler?

Although the new Kove 510F Scrambler may have the Kove name, it is not an original motorcycle, as it has a lot – probably too much – in common with other Chinese brand scramblers from a variety of other manufacturers. It seems that we have seen this motorcycle before, in the form of the Bristol Veloce 500 in the Philippines and, shortly after, the Jawa RVR500 in India. The motorcycle is probably the same one produced by the Chinese motorcycle giant Loncin, although slightly altered in terms of style and specifications.

The Kove 510F has a twin-cylinder engine with a displacement of only 500 cc. This 498 cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected unit delivers 47.6 hp of power and 45 Nm of torque, and sends the power to the rear wheel through a six-speed manual gearbox. If this is indeed the same engine found in other Chinese scramblers, then its roots can be traced back to Honda’s 471 cc twin-cylinder engine – an engine that we still see today in models like the CB500F and NX500.

Like its adventure sister, the Kove 510F has a tubular steel frame. Also, like its counterparts Bristol, Jawa, and Voge, the 510F has a single-sided swingarm that gives it a premium look.
